Jennie Snyder Urman is an American television writer and producer. Urman is the creator of Jane the Virgin.
Career[]
Urman has lent her talents to the last season of Gilmore Girls and the revival reboot version of 90210 (2008), both airing on The CW, before creating her first show, Emily Owens, M.D. (2012). Following the success of Jane, Urman was instrumental in developing the reboot of Charmed (2018) and a pilot for a Jane the Virgin spin-off titled Jane the Novela for The CW, which unfortunately did not make it to series.[2]
