Chapter Seventy-Four is the 10th episode of Season 4 of Jane the Virgin.
Synopsis[]
TRY NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS — Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) try to be friends which works great until Jane goes on a date. Petra (Yael Grobglas) and Jane's new partnership is off to a rocky start, but they both know they have to find a way to work together somehow. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is convinced he has Male Post-Partum Depression, which puts him at odds with celebrity Post-Partum Advocate River Fields (guest star Brooke Shields). Meanwhile, Alba (Ivonne Coll) finally tells Jane why she turned down the marriage proposal, leaving Jane to help Alba in the romance department.

- Starting with this episode, Petra had gotten a haircut, so her hair is now shorter. This will continue for the remainder of the Telenovela.

- Gina Rodriguez directs this episode making her the first of her castmates to direct a Jane the Virgin episode.[2]

- CONTINUITY
- Petra tells Jane that she came to Miami in 2007, which is either a continuity error or retcon, as Petra Andel, whose identity Petra assumed, died in 2008, and the first flashback to the accident takes place in 2009.[3]
'Secrets'[]
- Whoever Ramos is working for threatens to send her to prison instead of Petra, after Jane Ramos decides to help Petra instead.
