Alex is a character in Season 3 of Jane the Virgin. He is portrayed by Deniz Akdeniz.
Story[]
Alex is a kind guy and is appropriately great with kids since his job is being a child aide at a school. At first, Jane is hesitant to hire a male aide because she has a bias towards females, but Jane eventually hires him when the female aide she initially chose turns out to be a huge gossip. He is great with Mateo and begins to help Mateo fix his impulse issues. During a meeting with Alex, Jane opens up about Michael's death without crying. Alex was also surprised that Mateo was not affected by Michael's death and/or Rafael's brief imprisonment. After this meeting with Jane and Rafael, Alex is presumably considered friends with them. Moreover, Jane thought he was being flirty at one point with the coy smiles, eye contact, and touching, but Jane realizes that Alex is clearly not interested when he blatantly tells her; Alex is just friendly, not flirty.
